ATHENS, GA (AP) -- An Athens teenager has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty in the killing of a 76-year-old man during a burglary of the man's home in November 2012.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports 18-year-old Anthony Jermaine Fuller said at a Thursday court hearing that he shot and killed Edward Davidson after breaking into the retired man's home on Jefferson River Road in Clarke County.

In addition to pleading guilty to malice murder, Fuller pleaded guilty to all other charges in an 18-count indictment that included a half-dozen burglaries that occurred in the weeks leading up to Davidson's death.
