Education tax extended
More improvement will soon be seen around Richmond County schools.
That's because 70 percent of voters decided to continue the county's one cent education tax.
One penny out of every dollar you spend in Richmond County will continue to go to the school system.
That gives them the funding for construction projects, buses, new books, and technology.
This is not a tax increase. People voted to keep the current one cent tax that was already in place. You will continue to pay 7 percent.
