Richmond County deputies say a gang-related shooting early Sunday morning injured at least one person.
It happened at the Waffle House on Gordon Highway around 5 a.m.
Witnesses say large groups of people left the 'Dirty South Club' across the street and headed to Waffle House to get something to eat.
That's when gunfire erupted and 18-year-old Darren Moore was injured by shattered glass.
Investigators believe it all stems from a growing gang problem in Augusta.
"The main problem is identifying and addressing the problem, and now they're arming themselves with high power weapons and rifles which poses a serious problem," says Sgt. Richard Roundtree.
It's believed at least one drive by shooting on Lisbon Court in Barton Village later is connected with the crime.
Investigators have not identified any suspects in the shootings.
