Tonight's Richmond County Board of Education meeting could impact the career of superintendent Dr. Charles Larke.
EducationTeam 12's Kate Tillotson is covering the meeting, and as she reports, we expect a list of charges could be coming forward.
Those charges are the result of a month-long investigation launched against Dr. Larke at the request of his bosses, the members of the school board.
Attorney Pete Fletcher was asked to investigate Larke after his most recent evaluation came back unsatisfactory.
There have been lots of negative headlines concerning Larke, including reports of Murphey Middle School not cooperating with the state as well as Dr. Larke approving advanced paychecks for hundreds of employees.
News 12 spoke with Dr. Larke today. He said, "Every time I think we've worked something out, something else happens"--meaning he has no idea what job security, if any, he has.
Dr. Larke will be at the meeting tonight in executive session, and board members expect the charges will be revealed at that time.
