It took a legal maneuver, but News 12 finally obtained the police report from a deadly police shooting in Allendale.
Officer Horace Brunson shot and killed 33-year-old Michael Moore after a routine traffic stop.
His family and News 12 have been looking for answers about what happened ever since.
News 12 followed the freedom of information laws and requested the police report.
But when the deadline came, police chief Luther Gadsen refused to hand over the paperwork to News 12's Stephanie Baker.
Now we have it, and we can tell you the report says Officer Brunson "tried to place handcuffs on the driver [Mr. Moore]". It says Moore resisted, and then a fight broke out between the two.
The report is dated August 22, a full 11 days after the shooting.
