Good news for both Georgia and South Carolina today.
The ACT scores for both states are up from last year.
The average score for Georgia was 20.2, while the average for South Carolina was 19.5.
Both states trail the national average of 21.1.
Georgia also reports a record number of students taking the exam this year.
The SAT is still more popular in both states than the ACT.
