New information just in to News 12 about Friday evening's shooting in Allendale, where a police officer shot and killed a man outside a gas station.
A report from the police department says the officer responded to an illegally parked vehicle and found that Michael Moore did not have a drivers license. The report says Moore knocked the officer to the ground.
The report says the officer feared for his life, pulled his weapon and fired three times at Moore, hitting him once and killing him.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is in charge of the investigation. The officer was treated for injuries, and is on paid leave now until the end of the investigation.
