Former Atlanta mayor Bill Campbell will have to appeal his conviction from prison.
He lost his battle to stay out of jail Thursday, when the judge denied his appeal for bond.
Campbell has been sentenced to spend 30 months behind bars on three counts of tax evasion.
He's supposed to report August 21.
Campbell also has to pay almost $70,000 in fines and back taxes.
