An Augusta woman is on her way to the Big Apple...and for a very special reason.
Meet Maxine Hopkins.
She's young, charismatic, and she's been chosen to appear in CBS's new summer series "Living Room, Live."
The young singer, along with other contestants, will be given the chance to show off her talents as America decides which of them are stars in the making.
Hopkins says she owes her talent to the city of Augusta.
"It does make you determine your uniqueness...or go against the grain," she says.
"Living Room, Live" will continue to air throughout the summer on the Early Show right here on News 12.
