Suspects in a downtown triple shooting are still on the loose.

Three men were shot at Gunther's Lounge, 2238 Milledgeville Road, early Saturday morning, June 10.

This is not the first shooting this bar has seen.

Officers and the owner of Gunther's Lounge say the sound of gunshots is not uncommon.

The violence claimed two lives back in November...and the father of one of Saturday's three victims tells us he's thankful his son made it out alive.

"Just having a beer at the wrong place at the wrong time," says Philip Henley. Henley's son, John Dashiells, went to Gunther's Lounge with a few friends Friday night.

A couple hours past midnight, Henley's phone rang.

"I was told he got shot and was on his way to the hospital."

Dashiells and two others shot right outside the lounge.

"Fortunately this was not a fatal shooting...but anytime three shots are fired in the same's serious and we want to bring it to resolution ASAP," says Sgt. Richard Roundtree of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. Roundtree says witnesses are reluctant to talk. The two who came forward that morning say a crowd rushed out to their cars after hearing the shots outside.

Roundtree is looking into possible connections between this and the several other shootings in this same area over the past year.

The bar owner says all the trouble usually starts in a parking lot across the street.

But the violence doesn't seem to be keeping customers away. Witnesses say the crowd made it hard to figure out where the shots came from.

Here's what officers know so far.

"We have a description of three to four subjects armed with handguns involved in an altercation turned violent," says Sgt. Roundtree.

Phillip Henley says his son may have been part of the altercation.

"He's still responding, he talking as if nothing never happened, but he know he been shot."

That's why Henley hopes Dashiells won't go back to Gunther's anytime soon.

"It ain't no place for no one to want to sit down and enjoy yourself cause it's one door, one way in and out."

Officers say they found shell casings from the shooting.

Officials expect all three victims, John Dashiells, Curtis Bell, and Latrarouis Green to recover.

One victim was shot in the arm, one in the torso, and one in the head. All three survived.

This isn't the first shooting at Gunther's Lounge.

Back in November of 2005, two men were killed in the parking lot of the nightclub and liquor store.

As this case, witnesses were slow to come forward after the deaths of Steve Martin and Michael Bogans.
