SNELLVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- A high school senior has been charged
with setting a fire that destroyed a classroom trailer and damaged
a second trailer at his Gwinnett County school.

Authorities say 17-year-old Matthew Cooper of Snellville turned
himself in Wednesday to face charges of arson and criminal damage
to property in the Aug. 16 fire at Brookwood High School.

Capt. Thomas Rutledge of county fire department says
firefighters were called shortly before 7 a.m. that Saturday after
a coach and several members of the cross country team saw smoke
coming from behind the school building.

School was not in session and there were no injuries.
