LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The owner of a Los Angeles comedy club says
the Reverend Jesse Jackson should pay up after being caught saying
the N-word.
After Michael Richards got in trouble for shouting the word at a
black patron at the Laugh Factory two years ago, owner Jamie Masada
quickly joined Jackson in calling for a ban on the word's use.
Masada has implemented a $50 fine for each time a comic uses the
word on his stage, and says Jackson should pay the same amount, to
the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles.
Masada argues that "Jesse embraced the notion of fining talent
for using such a word and he should be held to his own standards."
Fox News confirms Jackson used the word during a break in a TV
interview when he was criticizing Barack Obama.
