The latest I-20 wreck happened about 10 am Thursday in the westbound lanes near mile 11, the Graniteville exit area.

It involved a delivery type truck and another vehicle.

The smaller vehicle flipped onto its side at the side of the road.

State troopers called in a helicopter to take the injured to the hospital.

Traffic was slowed quite a while by the mess.

There's no word yet from the patrol on the events leading up to the wreck, but traffic is now moving normally again.

Much earlier Thursday morning, a truck loaded with steel wrecked on I-20 a few miles away.

The trucker may have fallen asleep, and the 18-wheeler flipped, spilling the load of beams.

Both westbound lanes were blocked for a little while, but one lane was opened pretty quickly.

The trucker is not seriously hurt.

It happened at about the 8 mile marker.
