$500 reward offered for arrest of Christopher Arthur

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of a Warrenville man suspected in a series of burglaries since December 2005 in North Augusta, Warrenville, Gloverville and Aiken, South Carolina.

Christopher E. Arthur, 27, 140 Jon Road, Warrenville, South Carolina, faces charges of Burglary - First Degree (two counts), Burglary - Second Degree (two counts) and Grand Larceny.

“Firearms were stolen during a number of these break-ins, so Arthur should be considered armed and dangerous,” said Sheriff Michael Hunt.

On January 17, Arthur and another individual smashed the rear window of a home, and while inside, took a handgun from 609 Cherokee Drive, North Augusta.

Crystal L. Newsome, 19, 258 Carline Road, Burnettown, South Carolina, also faces charges in the same case for Burglary - First Degree.

ACSO holds warrants on Arthur for burglaries at the following locations: Laverne’s Bar and Grill, 258 Pleasure Island Road, Gloverville; 1948 Augusta Highway, Aiken; 594 Howlandville Road, Warrenville.
