Here’s some good news for Georgia’s teachers and state troopers.

They may be getting their first significant raise in at least a decade.

It's all part of the state's $18.5 billion budget passed in the Georgia House.

The Georgia State Patrol is short 190 troopers.

Teachers also made gains today, with a four percent pay raise supported by Governor Perdue.

All state employees are getting a raise somewhere between two and four percent this year.
