Traffic was backed up for miles on I-20 Sunday night after two accidents left at least one person injured.

It reportedly began on the westbound side of the interstate near exit 190, the Grovetown exit.

The road was closed off to traffic as a MedEvac helicopter landed and took one man away from the scene.

On the construction-laden eastbound side, a minor accident followed just minutes later. No injuries were reported from that one.

No word yet on the condition of the person hurt in the first accident.
