A deadly wreck occurred on Fury’s Ferry Road near the Bridlewood subdivision, just past Jones Creek.
The wreck involved two cars. While investigators are still cleaning up, we do know that one driver was killed and the other was injured.
Witnesses say a Mazda Protégé heading down Fury’s Ferry swerved into the lane of an oncoming Ford F-50 utility pickup truck.
The truck tried to avoid hitting the Protégé and ended up swerving into a ditch. The Protégé hit the truck anyway.
The collision killed the driver of the Protégé instantly. The truck driver suffered minor head injuries.
One witness said the crash sounded like a bomb exploding.
Investigators are still cleaning up the scene. We will have more for you tonight on News 12 First at Five.
