Several dozen people got together in downtown Augusta this morning to pray.
This is the third in the series of prayer breakfasts organized by mayor Deke Copenhaver.
This morning's prayer breakfast was at First Presbyterian Church on Telfair Street. There was also a musical performance.
The mayor is encouraged by the response to the prayer breakfast idea.
"I think it's always a good thing to get people together and pray for unity. But it's growing and is a blessing to see."
Doctor George Robertson, the pastor of First Presbyterian Church, was the host for the event.
Other prayer breakfasts are planned throughout the year.
