A federal judge has declined former senator Charles Walker's plan to pay nearly $800,000 in restitution.
Walker was convicted of 127 counts of conspiracy and mail fraud last June and was immediately stripped of his state senate seat. He owes $790,000 to two corporations.
Walker asked the judge if he could pledge stock to secure the full amount while making installment payments. U.S. District Judge Dudley Bowen rejected that plan.
