Report On Deadly Fire Due:

A city report on a deadly fire from a year ago, is supposed to be released today. This, as Charleston's fire chief announces he's stepping down. The furniture store blaze killed nine firefighters.
In a letter to the mayor, Rusty Thomas says he will retire at the end of June in hopes of helping the city heal. Two of the victim's families filed lawsuits against the store, joining three others who filed similar suits.

Convenient Store Back Open:

After closing its doors for several weeks, a convenient store on Goshen Road is back open this morning. However, officers still havn't made any arrests in a shooting that happened there. The owner and wife of the victim, says her husband is now recovering at home. Authorities say he was shot in the shoulder, twice, during the armed robbery. Investigators are still looking for the suspects.

Armed Suspect On The Run:

Authorities need your help in finding the man who robbed a supermarket with a sawed-off shotgun yesterday. The robbery happened at the Thriftee store, located at 232 Sand Bar Ferry Road. Thankfully, no one was injured. The same store was robbed twice in one week, last summer.

New Gun Law:

Gun owners can now pack heat at restaurants that serve alcohol, on buses, and in parks in Georgia. Governor Sonny Perdue signed what some are calling the biggest gun reform bill in Georgia history. One stipulation though, is patrons carrying a gun, cannot actually drink alcohol at restaurants. But critics argue that authorities are going to have a hard time enforcing that.
