Another Goody's Grant:
The staff at Wheeless Road Elementary says the extra ten-thousand dollars will go toward a new playground for the kids. The school is more than 50 years old. We're told the original playground equipment became too dangerous. The school still needs to raise close to
40-thousand dollars to complete the project. They hope to have it done by next year.
Saturday Food Drive:
You can put your cans to good use tomorrow, by helping feed the hungry. 'Stamp-Out Hunger' is the nation's largest single-day food drive. It's easy to participate. All you have to do is leave a sturdy bag of non-perishable foods next to your mailbox on Saturday, and postal workers will pick it up for you. Your donations are then delivered to local food banks and shelters.
