Linda Schrenko, Merle Temple and an Atlanta businessman all pled not guilty on Monday before a federal magistrate in Atlanta, and all three are out on bond. Schrenko arrived smiling at the crush of reporters all hoping she’d say something about the 18-count federal indictment against her alleging she stole $614,000 in taxpayer money. Within the hour, Schrenko was being fingerprinted and appeared in front of the federal magistrate in handcuffs. The judge set $40,000 bond but told Ms. Schrenko she may have to have drug testing because Schrenko admitted to taking a list of prescription drugs.
