AUGUSTA,Ga---What does a celebrity comedian do when he comes to Augusta? We caught up with Steve Harvey before his show at the James Brown Arena.

"I am actually on the street outside," laughed Steve Harvey. "How he managed to get this interview I'll never know."

It's a long story. Let's just say, after playing 18 at the exclusive Augusta Country Club, Harvey still made time for 12.

"I love Augusta," said Harvey. "I have loved it since I shot my special here. I have been coming here since the early 90s. It's just a special place for me."

Harvey calls this trip bitter sweet.

"Probably my last trip to Augusta as a stand up," said Harvey. "I am starting to curb down my career as a stand-up. I have other things that God wants me to do with my life."

One of those things includes focusing on the Steve Harvey foundation. The foundation offers programs like the "Steve Harvey Book Bank" and a mentoring weekend for young men in a place called "Harvey Town."

"Sometimes you gotta answer to a higher calling and higher power," said Harvey. "The best way to find out your purpose in life is to find out what God wants you to do. If you find that out you'll be a huge success."

Harvey is the first in a long line of a big acts heading to Augusta.

"The only thing I have to say is I shot an 82 and you can ask the coach of Augusta's golf team," said Harvey. "You can ask Bob Young...your former mayor. That has never happened. Please put that on TV."

R&B singer R. Kelly and the Gaither Vocal Band are coming to town soon. Those shows will be on different nights of course!
