Tau Gamma Delta sorority presented the Augusta Mini Theatre with a check for $1000 today after their annual fundraising campaign.
The money will help keep the organization going, as arts funding from the city could be cut.
Leadership for the group says it's not only important to support the arts so you can see a good show.
"I think you can go to any arts program in this town and they'll tell you the same thing," said Tyrone Butler, executive director. "Their young people are involved, they go to school, they go to technical college, they go to universities. They're involved because the arts motivates you to do well in life."
The mini theater provides their students with help to further their education.
