COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- Two people were arrested for allegedly stealing about $150 in comforters and a blanket from a laundromat in Columbia County.
John Samples Jr., 52, and Stephanie Samples, 27, were charged with larceny/theft by taking.
The victim was at the Vaughn Square Laundromat on June 9 when he had a medical emergency and had to leave his blanket and comforters at the business. When he came back to the laundromat, he saw they were missing.
Video surveillance shows a middle-aged heavyset white male with gray hair and a female in her late 20s enter the business around 4 p.m. They allegedly took the comforters and blanket and put them in their laundry basket. The suspects then put the items in their car, a green Ford Mustang convertible, and left the scene.
