WRENS, Ga. (WRDW) -- News 12 has learned a Wrens city councilman has been arrested.

Herman Wright, 42, was arrested Wednesday night after a two-month investigation by the Wrens Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Wright is charged with three counts of sale and distribution of prescription drugs, one count of theft by receiving stolen property and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Wright is being held in the Jefferson County Jail. No bond has been set at this time.
