AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The woman deputies say was the driver in a wrong-way crash on River Watch Parkway is facing a number of new charges, including several felonies.
The new felony charges for Monique Sullivan include five counts of aggravated assault and one count of second-degree cruelty to children. These charges are in addition to two felony counts of serious injury by vehicle, which she was charged with in March.
Sullivan was also indicted on misdemeanor traffic charges, including speeding and failure to obey an official traffic control device. These are in addition to her original charge of driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
Investigators say Sullivan drove the wrong way for almost 3 miles on River Watch Parkway with her husband and son in the car, hitting several other cars and injuring the other drivers. The accident happened on Dec. 10, 2012.
