AIKEN, S.C. -- A GHSU employee is accused of forging prescriptions and using them at an Aiken pharmacy.
Sari Nirenberg, 29, was arrested on three counts of obtaining prescription drugs by fraud on Oct. 13.
Nirenberg was already being investigated by GHSU for possible misconduct during her time working at the Sleep Study Unit.
Investigators say she used the Drug Enforcement Agency prescription control numbers of two doctors she worked with at GHSU to be able to get the prescriptions from an Aiken pharmacy on Sept. 29.
Additional charges may come as the investigation continues.
