Valuable coin collection stolen during rash of home invasions in Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- Investigators are looking for help in finding stolen items from a home in Aiken.

Thieves got away with a valuable gold and silver coin collection. Some of the silver coins have been found, but none of the gold ones have.

The coin collection includes Tenth Eagle Coins, Gold AM Buffalo Coins, MS 63 St. Gaudens coins and Morgan Silver Dollars.

The burglary happened on Jan. 8 between 3:15 and 4:30 a.m. During this time, four other homes and multiple cars were broken into within a half mile of one another.

The Aiken Department of Public Safety and Crimestoppers are offering up to $1,000 for information on the burglary. The victim is also offering $2,500 as a reward.
