EVANS, Ga. (WRDW) -- Two people are in custody after an armed robbery led to a chase Tuesday morning.
James Gibbons, 17, and Evan Ramsey, 17, are accused of robbing the Circle K at Belair and Old Belair roads around 1:40 a.m.
A deputy pulled up to the gas pumps just as the clerk was calling 911. There was a brief pursuit, which ended on Casa Linda Drive after spike strips were deployed.
The driver, Ramsey, was taken into custody immediately. The passenger, Gibbons, fled but was later found hiding under a nearby porch. The handgun and the cash from the robbery were found in the car, which was reported stolen earlier this month.
Gibbons is charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and theft by receiving stolen property.
Ramsey is charged with armed robbery, theft by receiving, driving without a license, reckless driving and fleeing and attempting to elude.
