Trial date set for teen accused of killing fellow YDC inmate

Friday, June 1, 2012

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The time frame for the trial of an Augusta youth inmate accused of murder has been set.

Michael Everidge's trial has been scheduled for September. The 17-year-old is charged with the beating death of fellow inmate 19-year-old Jade Holder back in November.

Since Holder's death, News 12 launched an in-depth investigation into the operations and employees at the Youth Development Campus.

Sources have told News 12 a number of people were involved in the fight that resulted in Holder's death, but so far, Everidge has been the only one charged.
