SWAINSBORO, Ga. -- Investigators are looking for leads after a man was found murdered outside of his home.
Swainsboro Police Chief Randy Ellison confirmed the body of 55-year-old Nathaniel Johnson was found at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday on Mabel Avenue.
Johnson, a retired veteran, was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators are waiting to get warrants before going inside the home but say they looked into the windows and saw signs of a possible struggle.
Chief Ellison says he wasn't the kind of guy to have or make enemies.
Johnson is said to be one of 17 siblings. He was last seen during the day on Tuesday by his family and friends.
No suspects have been named at this time.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is helping with the case.
