AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The state of Georgia has filed its intent to seek the death penalty against the man accused of killing his parents and brother and burning their bodies.

Ryan Jones has been indicted for six counts of murder, three for felony murder and three for malice murder.

The documentcalls the murders of Edna, Roosevelt and Russell Jones "outrageously or wantonly vile, horrible, or inhuman in that it involved torture, depravity of mind, or an aggravated battery to the victim."

Earlier this week, News 12 obtained the search warrants in the case, which revealed that the bodies were partially dismembered and burned. Investigators found a dolly, an ax, a hacksaw and a short-bladed wood saw close to where the bodies were found.

A possible motive for the murder was also revealed in the document, saying, "The murder of Edna Jones was committed by the defendant for the purpose of receiving money or any other thing of monetary value."

Jones is set to undergo a court-ordered mental evaluation, which is scheduled to happen within the next few months.
