UPDATE: Augusta man dead after shooting on First Street
Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012
AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Richmond County Coroner's Office has confirmed a man is dead after a shooting Tuesday evening.
Now, investigators are looking for the man who opened fire.
The coroner says 65-year-old Joseph Williams Jr. was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. after being shot at 416 First Avenue.
Williams was pronounced dead at Georgia Health Sciences. An autopsy will be performed in the morning.
