AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Bond was denied on Monday for a man accused of sex trafficking in the Atlanta area.
The judge told Jonathon Kelly that he is a flight risk and a threat to others, including witnesses. Kelly has been charged before with failure to appear.
Kelly was arrested last week along Interstate 20 in Taliaferro County during a traffic stop after the trooper became suspicious when a 17-year-old girl was in the car with him.
Investigators say the 17-year-old was being used as a sex slave in four different states.
Kelly told the judge he thought the 17-year-old was a legal adult and that if he was granted bond, he would show up to every court case and fight to prove his innocence.
The case is being investigated by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
