Search is on for liquor store robbery suspects

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The search is on for the two men investigators say robbed a liquor store in Richmond County on Friday afternoon.

Deputies say the two men came into the Windsor Package Shop on the 4000 block of Windsor Spring Road around 3 p.m. and demanded money from the store owner.

Witnesses say the men got into a green Ford Explorer or Mercury Mountaineer and headed toward Tobacco Road.

The first suspect is described as a black male between 5'10" and 6 feet tall and weighs between 150 and 180 pounds. He is said to be in his early 20s and was wearing gray sweatpants and a white zip-up hooded sweatshirt. At the time of the robbery, he wore a white toboggan hat and a white shirt covering his face and was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male between 5'10" and 6 feet tall and weighs between 150 and 180 pounds. He has a shaved head and is in his early 20s. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes and was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
