Search is on for aggravated assault suspect in Waynesboro

WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- The Waynesboro Police Department is searching for a suspect in an aggravated assault that happened on Sunday.

Investigators say James Eric Burley opened fire with an AK-47 assault rifle at the Magnolia Acres Housing Authority.

Burley is considered to be armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution. He is out on bond for an armed robbery from back in September.

Burley is a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5'11" and weighs 155 pounds.
