Richmond Co. on lookout for scam suspect

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help in finding a woman accused in several scamming incidents.
Eva Smith has been arrested in the past for deception charges.
Investigators say she targets passerby near Walton Way and 12th Street, asking to borrow money. She allegedly then tells them they will be reimbursed at the Sheriff's Office.
Victims then show up the Sheriff's Office expecting their money back but are told of the scam.
If you know anything about Smith or her whereabouts, call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
