UPDATE: Richmond Co. deputies looking for gas station robber

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Richmond County deputies are searching for the man who robbed a gas station Tuesday morning.

Deputies received the call shortly after 1 a.m. and responded to the Kangaroo Gas Station on the 1400 block of Jones Street.

The man came into the store, told the clerk he was armed and demanded money. He was able to get away with an unknown amount of money.

They are searching for an older black male with a light complexion.
We're told he has short hair and is between 35 and 40 years old. The robber is said to be about 5'5" tall and weights approximately 170 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket with a white collar, a white shirt and dark jeans during the robbery.
