NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- A pantless man wearing boxers over his head robbed a North Augusta bar and stole an employee's car Tuesday night.
The victim, an employee at Wagon Wheel, said she was closing the bar when a man walked up to her at the register and demanded money.
She said he was holding something on his side, trying to disguise it as a gun. It was later discovered to be a bamboo stick.
The victim grabbed a pair of scissors to defend herself and was pushed to the ground by the robber. She says he grabbed her by the hair and took money before pushing her back to the ground again and taking her car keys.
The victim says he grabbed her by the hair and took her into the bathroom. She was able to lock herself inside until she heard the alarm ring and saw him leave.
The man got away in her car, a green 1997 Ford Explorer.
The robber, described as a black male, is said to have been wearing boxers on his head, no pants and a long-sleeved blue shirt.
