AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says the man accused of killing Courtney Bell is behind bars.
Investigators say Jabali Jerome Howard turned himself in to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office without incident late Tuesday night.
Howard was charged with one count of murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The victim in a shooting at an Augusta inn on Tuesday morning has died.
Courtney Bell, 23, was shot in the head at the Red Carpet Inn on Gordon Highway after midnight. Bell was pronounced dead at the hospital at 2:28 p.m.
Bell's murder was the third for Richmond County this year.
The suspect, 29-year-old Jabali Jerome Howard, is considered to be armed and dangerous. Howard is wanted for murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Richmond County deputies are investigating an incident that left a woman with a gunshot wound in the head.
Deputies were called out to the Red Carpet Inn at 2050 Gordon Hwy Augusta, GA 309092050 Gordon Highway around 12:30 a.m.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld at this time, was transported to Georgia Regents Medical Center to receive medical treatment. She is said to have been in critical condition when she left the scene.
Deputies are currently talking to witnesses to gather information and say they do not have a description of a suspect just yet.
