NEW ELLENTON, S.C. (WRDW) -- After a night of searching neighborhoods around Sizemore Avenue in New Ellenton, the New Ellenton Police Department and Aiken County Sheriff's Office were unable to locate two black male juveniles.

Officers say the two juveniles walked through a New Ellenton neighborhood, randomly shooting at homes, yards and dogs on Saturday around 7:30 p.m.

At least two families on Sizemore Avenue were affected. Witnesses say the men shot two dogs. One of the dogs was shot twice. Both were rushed to an emergency veterinary clinic for treatment.

According to Sgt. Hugh Ray with the New Ellenton Police Department, a neighbor begged the men to not shoot her dog, but the men shot the dog anyway.

Sgt. Ray says the men fired off at least six shots.

Aiken County deputies and the New Ellenton Police Department called out the Sheriff's Office bloodhounds to track down the suspects, but they had no luck Saturday night.

The New Ellenton Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding the two individuals. If you have any information that could lead to an arrest, you're asked to contact the New Ellenton Police Department or Crimestoppers of the Midlands.
