LANGLEY, S.C. -- We are learning more about a shooting and hostage situation in Langley last week.
Kevin Claeys was arrested and accused of shooting a man in the face, then running a few houses down and holding a woman and her daughter hostage in her Jackson Street home.
Two separate 911 calls played a huge role in putting the gunman behind bars. The 911 tapes are giving us a better glimpse into those women's brave actions.

The first call came in from the gunman's own home.
Dispatch: "Aiken 911, where's your emergency?"
Caller: "Augusta Road."
Dispatch: "What's going on there, sir? "
Caller: "There's been shots fired."
Caller: "Somebody just shot a gun -- I think he's tripping out, I think he's on some dope, I need somebody here now!"
This call came in from the gunman's home on Augusta Road. Dispatchers were able to warn deputies that the suspect was armed and dangerous, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Dispatch: "Aiken County 911, where's your emergency?"
Victim: "I need 911 right now, Jackson Street, a man just broke into our house; he's got a gun!"
The woman frantically calling 911 is Linda Holley's daughter.
Hostage victim (daughter): "Mama, stop -- Mama!
He said don't call the cops. And she wouldn't stop calling."
Hostage victim (daughter): "My mama's trying to get him -- please!
Dispatcher: "Do you know him?"
But Holley wasn't waiting on the cops. She took matters into her own hands.
Hostage victim: "I'm going to kill you."
Gunman: "I've got my hands in the air -- I surrender. I surrender!"
That surrender in her home on Jackson Street led to Claeys' arrest, marking the end of a terrifying experience for a small Langley community.
"I had walked him all the way out, and he was standing at the top of the ramp. And saw the cops taping off, and three of them started running this way. And he just laid down on his stomach, put his hands behind his head," Holley said.
Claeys is facing several charges, including kidnapping, burglary, attempted murder and possession of a weapon.
