AUGUSTA, Ga. -- An arrest has been made in connection to the robbery of the Georgia Bank and Trust on Washington Road Tuesday.

Matthew Cook, of Grovetown, was arrested in Greene County Wednesday. Cook was pulled over for a traffic stop and still had some of the money on him. He was booked in Greene County and will likely be brought back to Richmond County soon.

The 47-year-old came into the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave him the money and he took off in a white pickup truck.
