UPDATE: Fatal shooting victim identified, shooter in custody from Windsor Spring Road incident

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A man is dead and another injured after a shooting early Thursday morning on the 4000 block of Windsor Spring Road.

Investigators say a black male arrived at the trailer and began firing at the victims when he went inside.

Dequan Holmes was later arrested and was charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Holmes will be booked into the Richmond County Jail.

Deputies were called to the scene around 2 a.m. When they got to the scene, they found 38-year-old Danielle Willingham with a gunshot wound to the leg and 30-year-old Javares Alston with multiple gunshot wounds.

Alston was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to the GBI Augusta Lab for an autopsy.

Willingham was taken to the hospital.

The fatal shooting marks Richmond County’s 16th homicide for 2012.
