EVANS, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office wants your help in identifying a suspect accused of scamming an employee at the Martinez Goodwill on July 26.
According to the incident report, a black male wearing a white shirt and a red hat came up to the register to buy a pair of jeans for $4.32.
The store claims the suspect paid with a $100 bill, which he took back without the employee realizing, according to the incident report.
That's when the store says the man handed over 32 cents, and the employee gave him $96 in change thinking she already put the $100 bill in the register.
The store plans on prosecuting if the man is identified.
