Man taken to hospital after being beaten

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Richmond County deputies are investigating an incident after a man was found beaten.
It happened around 5:45 a.m. on McCauley Street.
Deputies say the man was conscious when emergency crews arrived on the scene.
We're told the person has been taken to the hospital.
There is no word on what led up to the beating. Details are limited at this time.
