Man shot in backseat of car on Kensington Drive

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A man says he was shot while he was in a car stopped on Kensington Drive Tuesday night.
There were five people in the car and a witness says they were all headed to the Walmart on Deans Bridge Road when they heard a gunshot.
The driver of their car speeded off when they heard the first gunshot and the witnesses say they heard additional gunshots, which is when the victim exclaimed he had been shot.
Investigators found two bullet holes in the rear window close to where the victim was sitting, one bullet in the driver's door window and one on the tailgate.
A handgun was found on the floorboard where the victim was sitting.
There is no word on any suspects at this time.
