AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A man who led deputies on an hour-long standoff on the 5th Street bridge earlier this month was denied bond Friday morning.
The judge says Yearby Foston poses a significant risk to the community and that he's a flight risk.
Foston is accused in an armed robbery at Guide One Insurance off Peach Orchard Road. He is also being charged with aggravated assault and criminal attempt rape.
When officers tried to arrest Foston on Aug. 3, he allegedly took off down the train trestle and threatened to jump. Officers were not sure if he was armed during that time.
