Suspect arrested after man found dead inside Barnwell trailer park

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- An arrest has been made after a man was found dead after apparently being beaten to death over the weekend.

Roland James Cromwell Jr. of Aiken has been arrested and charged with murder.

Barnwell Police Chief Todd Gantt says the victim, 31-year-old Nathan Johnson, reportedly started drinking Cromwell's liquor. Cromwell allegedly responded by stomping him to death.

Johnson was found dead Saturday at the Ramblewood trailer park inside Barnwell city limits with multiple fractures to his face.
